Andrew McHardy
Andrew, “And”, was born in a tavern to a young wench and a traveling merchant captain. The merchant captain arranged to have young Andrew taken into a monastery so he did not have another child after is inheritance. He learned to read and write in several languages while he was there, but the rest of it was none too appealing to him. At fifteen, he set out on his own and started working as a porter at the docks. He got a whole new education there. This life suited him quite well.
One day while sleeping off a good drunk, he woke up to find himself on the deck of a ship. He was informed that he was now in the service of his majesty’s navy and he better get to work. It didn’t take long for him to decide that he did not like this boat at all, so he set about a plan to sink it or leave.
Eventually the captain decided it was time to go hunting pirates. Andrew decided this would be a perfect time to escape. As soon as the ships collided, he pushed the “evil” captain (that’s how he tells it) overboard… of course he shot him and stabbed him first (no sense taking chances).
Well, as luck would have it, the pirate captain liked the distraction that Andrew had caused. After intense negotiations (a.k.a., fistfights), it was agreed that “And” was the new Bosun.
He can normally be found yelling and beating on Run, or mocking Cut and Thrust. |

Jerry Perry
The acting bug bit Jerry Perry in elementary school, but he successfully killed it before junior high and had considered himself cured. He originally had plans to become an electronics engineer, and possibly a career in the military. Instead, he studied aikido briefly, boxed for a year, and spent the rest of his time administering networks and rock climbing.
Jerry re-began his stage career in 1998 at the tender age of 25, when a commedia troop called Commedia Dell’Carte dragged him onto a stage. He began doing technical work for them shortly after, as well as finding and creating props for the show. The troupe’s director talked Jerry into taking acting and improvisational classes from him. Much to his surprise, he wasn’t bad.
In early 2000, Jerry joined the cast of Scarborough Faire in Waxahachie, Texas portraying Padraig (Patrick for all of you new-English-types) Neill, a lovable turnip farmer who was more than a bit touched. He then joined the cast of Commedia Dell’Carte for it’s run at the Shakespeare Festival of Dallas, as well as writing a farcical Shakespeare scenario called “Richard the Turd”. Later that same year, Jerry was in a production of “Prisoner Of Second Avenue” and a collection of mini-plays put on by the Alberti Players.
In 2001, Padraig Neill became a little more violent, as Jerry made the change to stage combatant. This led him to the door of Shane Richmond (fencing instructor, stage combat choreographer, jouster, … blah, blah, blah… read his bio). That’s where Bill Riddle and Shane told Jerry they were missing a guy for a sword-fighting/comedy troupe they wanted to put together. He has been there ever since. |
